1. Or maybe the seller Office/company is close. When you won't see anymore attempt delivery, then the seller will have either to go and pick up the parcel or call China Post 11185.

Thanks.

Hello

There are many posts on forums about sellers based in China refusing return of their fake/faulty/misdescribed items. :( The comments indicate that sellers in mainland China simply refuse to sign the China Customs form and so prevent the return of the item. 😡

This happened to me also. I was able to get a payment from Ebay but I was persistent and I could prove that the item was not as described. :) I suggest that you approach Ebay. You too may need to contact Ebay several times. 😮 Ebay did not refund, but after I rang them a third time, 3 months after my initial phone call to ebay, they agreed to pay because I was "a good customer". 😉

If you paid using Paypal you could have another way to seek either a refund for the cost of the item, or the cost of returning the item to the seller. If you paid using a card such as Visa or Mastercard, you could try approaching your bank for a chargeback.

Another way could be to check where the item was sent from before returning. My seller asked for the item to be returned to an address in mainland China even though the item package showed that it was sent to me from Hong Kong. 😉 I believe the seller requested this so they could refuse delivery. 😡 I do not know whether if I had returned the item to the address of the sender in Hong Kong, then I would have have had less trouble. 😕

The lesson from all this is that if you don't know the seller well, you rely on the platform, be it Ebay, Aliexpress or whatever, to provide redress if something goes wrong with the transaction. Ebay was such trouble that I prefer to use Aliexpress for mainland China sellers.

In China my friends there told me to beware of "false" sellers, even if they operated a proper bricks-and-mortar store. Only buy Apple products from an real Apple Store, I was told. The queues at Apple stores in China to buy iPhones that could be bought cheaper in non-Apple owned stores attest to the fact that people in China are careful about who they buy from. When we are buying from China, we need to be careful too. In Hong Kong they told me to only buy expensive cameras/electronics from reputable major retailers, e.g. Fortress.

And my experience has taught me not to buy a "BRAND NEW" iPhone on Ebay from China/Hong Kong; It will probably be a used one sold as new.

Good Luck

Int077 & oztony thanks for your comments. Appreciate your time. @ oztony I already called ebay. Maybe I will have to do like you did to make justice. Thanks for the tip mate

@ksupun - I have added to and modified my post, mentioning Paypal and Visa/Mastercard as other possible options. Glad was able to guide you.
