Post Registered AirMail from sketchy ebay seller

Hello,
I tried to purchase an item from a ebay seller earlier this year, he was using ePacket, CanadaPost tracking showed me that it got delivered in the same city I live but I haven't received anything. I was not able to locate the parcel since CanadaPost asks for the seller to initiate the enquiry, he never did and refunded me instead. I didn't lose money but did lose time.

Last week I ordered the same item from a different ebay seller. He added a registered airmail tracking number to the order which is already showing "Sent to airline", but today I just found out that he is no longer a registered ebay user and cannot contact the guy anymore.

I never had any experience with Registered Air mail, I know that after it leaves China, I have no means of tracking the item. I only know that the item is indeed headed towards Canada, but as with the epacket parcel from earlier, that doesn't mean it will get to me...

Anybody in the same situation as I am? Is it common for chinese seller to send "almost-legit" tracking number? That are headed to the right destination but never gets to your door?

Thanks!
Julien

Register Mail from China to Canada has big problem. They are very very slow and does not show any tracking result in Canada Post website because Canada Post does not scan such parcel.

The best way for you is to open dispute to ebay and claim refund.
