Post Package has not moved in a month

Hi,

My package, LS939016085CN, departed Shanghai on June 7th. Since then there has been no movement. I asked the seller on AliExpress to look into he, he said "just be patient." But there is clearly an issue with the package. I've never waited this long. It has never been this long since departing Shanghai. Since the seller won't help me, I opened a dispute, which the seller rejected, saying again to just be patient.

What should I do? Should I escalate the dispute?

I apolologize for posting it here but i am not being able to find how to post in the forum . I had sent a parcel to India from China on 15th April ,2016 BY SURFACE .Parcel number is CP324547681CN . And now different websites are showing different results for tracking .The China post official website says it reached Hong Kong on 27th April .Track more .com says it has expired . "Track in destination country "shows it left for India on 3rd June .Where is the parcel ?Is there any probability of the parcel reaching India ?If so ,how many days will be required ?

I apolologize for posting it here but i am not being able to find how to post in the forum . I had sent a parcel to India from China on 15th April ,2016 BY SURFACE .Parcel number is CP324547681CN . And now different websites are showing different results for tracking .The China post official website says it reached Hong Kong on 27th April .Track more .com says it has expired . "Track in destination country "shows it left for India on 3rd June .Where is the parcel ?Is there any probability of the parcel reaching India ?If so ,how many days will be required ?

I don't think e-packet ever takes a month. More likely, this one sounds like it was lost somewhere between Shanghai and JFK. I would first call USPS and see if there is anything that they can do to locate it. If they can't seem to find it, I would escalate the dispute, yes. =/

1. This is an extract:
format 2: the number starts with “CP” and ends with “CN”, i.e. CP123456789CN
This is China Post registered surface mail. Normally it is much slower than airmail and might take up to 6 months to arrive.

2. You can find the hole document here:

3. Normally surface mail should take 40 to 70 days. Your parcel departed only:

5. Basically it loss 5 weeks traveling to Hong Kong possibly to be ship to India by surface mail.

Surface mail items are extremely slow and can take six months or more to arrive. We don't recommend using surface mail unless you are sending something extremely heavy or that can't be sent by other means.

Many websites (eg trackingmore) probably aren't set up to account for the long shipping times of surface mail items, and that's why they show your item as "expired". The results you found here, on this website, are accurate:

Your parcel was sent from China to Hong Kong via ship, and then was sent onwards towards India from Hong Kong on June 3. It can take many months for each update. The time between updates is not time when your parcel is actually on a ship and moving, but time in which it might be sitting in a shipping container on a dock waiting for a cargo ship to come pick it up, waiting to be unloaded, and so forth.

I'm not sure how long surface mail from China to India usually takes, but the fact that your item is still getting updates is a good thing :) but it may still be months before it is delivered. :(

If you can, I would advise checking in on the item's status regularly. There have been times where a parcel has taken a very long time to reach India...taken a long time to clear customs...then been handed off to India Post, who in less than three days, made a delivery attempt, found nobody at the delivery address to accept the parcel, and sent it back to China.
