http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows EB715134382CN was just shipped to Canada on Mar 19. It is still in Guangzhou airport.

China government has cancelled all international airline to stop coronavirus spreading. China Post has no airline space to send these parcels. Waiting time could be quite long. you need some patient.

Will China post not hire some cargo planes to carry all this mail?

unfortunately china post only use passenger plane to ship 99% of its parcel.

Hey, my package just got returned to the sender? There wasn't anything prohibited in it - just a clock...

clock usually has battery inside and is often rejected by safety check point.

this is an automatic watch - no battery required.

Is it going back to the sender or will it automatically retry to send?

not sure if it will be returned to sender or will make another try to send. You need wait one or two more weeks to see update.
