Post Package came and went?!?

Hello, I am a first time poster.

OK so...
Made an order on the 9th of January, and it shipped out. (Order from alixpress)

It arrived on the 16th in my city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Expected delivery same day.
Nothing came
Status on Canada post says "out for delivery" and still does.

I just checked China tracking and its updated with "sent to airline"
What does this mean?
I assume the item came here, for some reason went back and is now back in China. Wi it be sent back to the sender? Is it going to be sent back to me? Why did this happen?

When you see 'Out for Delivery' for several days and it doesn't get delivered, you have to contact Canada Post immediately. You waited for a very long time...hopefully the parcel is at your local post office waiting for your pick up.

I did. It was due to be delivered on a Friday, and nothing's delivered on weekends. On Monday I called all my local post offices and none of them had any idea.

But there's no use worrying about that now, since that's far past. I just wanna know why it wasent delivered and why it went back (if that's even the case) tracking makes it look like its back in China.

you should contact Canada Post WINNIPEG office. If they can not find the parcel, it should be lost by them.
