Post Missing package shipping from China to Canada

A package was provided to China post on July 2 2014 in Zhanjiang, China and is to be shipped to Brampton, Ontario, Canada. When I check the tracking number (CP277200370CN) it shows that an export customs scan was completed on July 4 2014. This is the last notice that I haven received and it is now September 11, 2014.

I've contacted CanadaPost and the customs offices in Canada and they have not received this package yet. Can you please advise on the whereabouts of this package?

CP277200370CN is surface parcel (often for heavy item )which goes through sea. It is very slow. Normally it will take about 2 to 4 months to arrive Canada from china. The last status will not change until it arrives Canada.

When the status reads: Export Customs Scan. Does it mean that the package is in transit on the ship?

When are you sure that the good has definitely left china?
