Post Help with my package LS280727271CN

Could you please advise as to the status of my package, tracking number LS280727271CN? The online tracking status shows that it has been sitting at the airport in Shanghai for over a month now. I contacted USPS - the domestic carrier that is supposed to receive this package and deliver it to me - and their records show that they have not received it yet.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows LS280727271CN was shipped from China to USA on Mar 23. It is still in Shanghai airport waiting for flight space.

Coronavirus has cancelled more than 90% airline space to USA. China Post has serious shipping space shortage. So some delay is normal, no need worry. Please wait one or two more weeks to see what will happen.

After parcel arrives USA, USPS website will show arrival info.

If your buyer protection is expiring, you might need to open dispute to claim your money back first. After you get the parcel in future, then pay back to seller.

I do not understand why it is taking so long for my package to be placed on a transport. It appears that my package is being given lower priority than other packages. I have checked tracking numbers for several other packages identified on this forum and found that those packages, despite arriving at the Shanghai airport AFTER mine, have already been shipped to their final destinations and received. Why is my package being given lower priority for shipping than other packages?

China Post warehouses are so full that it is impossible to organize these parcels in shipping time sequence.
Some later parcel arriving earlier is quite common.

As China has cancelled 90% of international airlines.The result is that all these limited 10% space are assigned to parcels at random. Some new parcels might be shipped very quickly while many old parcels are still sleeping in warehouse. So it is difficult to predict actual arrival time.

Our stat reports shows some parcel shipped in middle April has arrived USA but there are also many parcels shipped in Feb are still in China. It is like lottery.

Good news is that China Post is renting some cargo airline space to send the parcel oversea. The average delivery time is becoming faster. So your parcel is not likely to be delayed as those February parcels. Please be patient and wait for some more time.

Once parcel arrives USA, usps.com will show its local arrival information.

Thanks for taking the time to give a thorough response. I appreciate it. I understand this is a difficult time, i'm just eager to receive my package, as it contains exercise equipment, and i have not been able to properly exercise since mid-March.

It has been two months since this discussion here and still my online tracking status says that my package has not left Shanghai. What is going on?! It's been almost four months since I placed my order!!

Your package did not have update since Mar. 26. The package might have been lost, thought it might still has small possibility to arrive. It is better to contact with the seller or the site from which you bought the item to open dispute for a refund, or ask for an extension of your buyer protection if it is running out soon

First, China Post needs to verify if the package is still in its possession or not. There is nobody other than China Post who can do this. Second, if the package was lost while it was in the possession of China Post, that is the fault of China Post, and a problem that needs to be remedied by China Post. Please verify who will be my point of contact for getting this issue addressed with China Post.
