Post Did I get scammed? Is my tracking number real?

So I ordered something from Hong Kong and the seller shipped it via China Post. I received the tracking number: LT343914750CN and tried tracking it via China Post and it said "PENDING Please try again later, we are awaiting tracking info from the carrier."
Fair enough. This was almost two days ago, so I check it again. Same message. I googled and discovered some scary stuff, people getting ripped off and given fake tracking numbers. I checked my number via http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php and received this message: Parcel#LT343914750CN is invalid, China Post has not received any parcel associated with ! Read this article to understand the reason and solutions.
I'm assuming I got ripped off, right? I should contact ebay and file a dispute?

1. Your tracking number is a valid tracking number. You can look here:
http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php

2. Sometimes it can take up to 10 days for a parcel to get into the China Post system. If after 10 days you still can not track your parcel, you might want to contact seller and ask him if he did physically mail the parcel.

3. Depending on his answer you might want also get a dispute going if the seller does not meet your expectation.

Hope this help.

I contacted the seller, no response yet but the tracking info said the parcel was "+Released from customs China Post" so doesn't that mean it was released and was cleared?

1. After tracking your parcel on different sites. It's coming to 2 sites are saying it did not pass Customs and 2 sites are saying it did pass.

2. If I tend to believe the not pass because of this tracking:
International Mail# LT343914750CN Tracking Result
Summary
Tracking number Origin Destination Status
LT343914750CN CHINA UNITED STATES Posted

History Detail
Local date/time Activity Location Remarks
01-Nov-2016 16:46 Received by Post Office 510081

3. We should have seen a new scan with something like this in the activity:
Departure export customs
But the scanning is not there so that why I suspect the parcel is still held by Customs.

4. Also you never mention what is inside the parcel. Is it part of the China Post Forbidden Item List.

Hope this help.

Why are the results all different? Shouldn't the China Post tracking information be accurate? I contacted the seller, so hopefully I get my money back. The parcel was supposed to contain a soccer jersey. If it is held by customs, it's probably because it was fake and I guess the seller scammed me.

1. China Post official tracking is this site:
http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html
http://track-chinapost.com/

2. All the other sites are private site giving info about tracking. In your case see the difference:

Guangzhou Customs clearance

Released by customs
Please note that the statuses used in our service are universal for all postal operators. If the original status of the postal operator is different from universal, it is tantamount to the status of our service.

Held by Customs

3. So as you can see from the above info, from one site to the other it can make a difference in what a person can see and understand about their parcel.

Hope this help.
