Hello, i would dearly appreciate any help on this...
I have sent my personal belongings from Shanghai back to Italy, 8 boxes in total, as international ordinary parcels with China Post. 6 boxes have arrived, but 2 boxes are missing.
According to the tracking records, 1 box is still in transit, but 1 was REJECTED, and is now back in Shanghai!! I sent the parcel myself and i know the content was thoroughly checked at the post office in Shanghai, all the items inside were allowed to be shipped, these were only my old clothes, books, shoes, etc.
What's the procedure now to get this parcel back? Tracking shows the parcel arrived in Italy and it was sent back to Shanghai, where it is now. I have already made a claim with Poste Italiane but they have been awfully unhelpful, they seem to be in the dark, bouncing me from one operator to the other via their call-center.
Parcel number is:
CP243863794CN
If anyone knows whats the procedure to follow to get it back, PLEASE ADVICE. I am myself both the sender and the receiver, send it from Shanghai before moving back to Italy, where i am now...

1. Did you phone the Italian Custom Office:
http://ec.europa.eu/ecip/national_customs_websites/national_it_en.htm

2. If you are close to an Italian Post Office, then you should go there in person and try to talk to the supervisor and explain to him your problem about your parcel returning with your personal belonging back to China.

3. All Postal Office in the world can send an inside message to ask question or maybe even to have the parcel sent back to Italy.

4. On one tracking this is what I found:

5. When you talk or see somebody in person always refer to the description above for your parcel.

6. Since the parcel tracking end on the 12 Oct we don't know were is the parcel exactly. If you still have friend in China that Can speak Mandarin, they could phone on your behalf and try to find out where is the parcel and why it was returned.

7. You might have to send to that friend a power of attorney to take care of the parcel for you.

8. Other then the above, I can not think of anything else.

Hi,
Yes i went to the post office here in my hometown and they said they didnt know what to do. They just gave me a piece of paper to fill up to process an official complaint, and said somebody would get back to me. They wouldn't even track the parcel for me, i finally found it myself online, through the trails of the China Post system - thank you - because for the Poste Italiane's system it was not existing! Indeed, it arrived in Italy and they sent it back. I tried to get information many times through Poste Italiane's call-center service, but they were so incompetent and rude that beside the loss of my personal things im very upset and frustrated by their attitude and the way they work.
I think my best chance is to try and make my claim directly to China Post, through a friend in China, as you suggested.

One more question,
Since i can speak and write mandarin myself, do you know the dedicated number and email address of the China Post where i should make inquiries, so that i could try and call/write right away from Italy, and know from them the procedure to get my parcel back?

1. If your friend in China speak Chinese he could go to a postal office or even go to the original post office where you mail the parcel and explain the situation to them.

2. They might be able to help him and you, he could find out what is the next move to get back that parcel. Or since you speak Mandarin then, Origin Country - China Post: 86 20 11185.

3. May I suggest you go first with your friend and if that does not work, then you could call then yourself.
