Post Tracking number disappeared

Hello.

I've ordered an item on 27.11. 2014.
The seller sent the item on 29.11. and he sent me tracking number: RI247066478CN

I could track the TN immediately and I saw that item had been sent from China on 02.12.2014.
The package arrived on 02.01.2015 in Frankfurt, Germany, but then nothing happened.
I could track this number until 16.01.2015 on German Post website and then it disappeared completely. I can't track my package anymore.

Can you tell me what happened with my package and why this tracking number disappeared? Is it possible that it may be returned to China?

RI247066478CN should have some problem in Germany. It might be returned to china, might be going to Bosnia. If your protection is expiring, you should open dispute or ask seller extend the protection. If parcel can not arrive next week, it will be more likely be returned to china.
