hi i have never used Ems before and got told it was quicker

my tracking number is EV980660361CN is everything fine? as when i check the tracking on china post it says
2014-12-31 19:03:49 SHANGHAI Arrival at Sorting Center
2014-12-31 21:59:00 MINHANG Despatch from Sorting Center
2014-12-31 23:02:15 MINHANG Despatch from Sorting Center
2015-01-01 01:18:25 SHANGHAI Despatch from Sorting Center

why would it start at shanghai go to min hang then come back to shanghai?

Yes, everything is fine. The tracking is not always clear / accurate.
