Post Shipping times from Fuzhou...

Hi there! I am a newbie to this forum and I was wondering if you could offer some insight into average shipping time-frames from Fuzhou. My parcel, shipped from a vendor on Aliexpress (China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus, w/ Tracking # 04862584895), has been stalled since April 19th, once it was supposedly delivered to the post office. This is the last entry (Google-translated):

Leave the [high-rise post office], the next stop [Fuzhou Center]

I did contact the seller after the first week and he assured me that I have nothing to be concerned about, but there is still no movement; and due to something else he did right after the order was placed, I have very little trust remaining in him and so this delay has made me rather solicitous. Is this the norm? Is my concern misplaced?

Many thanks in advance.
Kat

04862584895 is china post ordinary parcel. it is a very cheap service usually used for low value item. You can not see new status after it left original post office(china post does not pay labor to scan it anymore).

You need wait about 4 to 6 weeks to get the goods.

Thank you for the provided information, because as of today, there is still no movement. In the past few months, I have ordered frequently from China, both on Aliexpress and Ebay, and I have found that the tracking usually continues until the package departs China. This is the first time that this has happened, where it just stopped, with no further movement, once it got to the post office. However I just had second order ship out of Fuzhou and the same thing has occurred. Still, another order from Wuxi City shows tracking all the way to the departure, so I guess it's just the practice at Fuzhou not to update, as they do in other places.

I am not sure what are the "OTHER" tracking number you are talking about. I guess you are talking about those tracking number starting with "R" or "L". Those parcels are register airmail or epacket. They are more expensive service than ordinary parcel. China will keep scan these parcels until they leave China.

Nope. All the numbers I am talking about are in the same category - an 11-digit number, starting with 04, which I am aware is China Post's "Ordinary Small Packet Plus", since I tend to try and get free shipping with my purchases. (Another shipment from Ebay, using that same method, had tracking which began with 82 though, so I don't know whether this is indicative only of items being shipped through Aliexpress, or not.)

For instance, 04802238885 and 04795735220 were parcels that recently shipped to me, and the numbers tracked until they were put on the plane, and even provided a flight number, so I could find out the US destination by Googling it, to then estimate how much longer it would take to be processed domestically, since the info stops once it leaves China. (Usually 2-4 weeks more.) Still, even without that much info provided, the tracking normally will state 'security check success' which indicates the parcels are on the way and not still in China. I have also had e-packets delivered, which can be tracked through the US Postal Service, even before it arrives stateside; as well as sellers, who choose to use their own logistics, such as Yanwen, Sunyou and Pos Malaysia. So I do have some understanding of the difference.

As I stated prior, this, and now the second order, are the only two instances, in all those other shipments, where the numbers seem to 'stall' at Fuzhou. It is also, coincidentally, the first time that city has popped up, in over 30 transactions made in the last four months. Even Cianiao tracking, which usually shows progress until 'origin leaving', only shows both orders, originating from Fuzhou, as merely being 'picked' - with their graphics not even mid-way 'in transit'. Hence, my concern. And, subsequently, coming here to inquire; but you have assured me this is normal, so I shall just have to wait and see whether the items in question arrive before my buyer protection runs out.

Again, chinapostvolunteer, many thanks for your input. You provide a valuable service, and it has helped to put my mind at ease a bit.

04802238885 and 04795735220 are shipped from Shenzhen international parcel office which is in the airport. Fuzhou office is not in international airport. You can not see airline departure information.

RL728426530CN is invalid number, you seller has not shipped anything yet. If you just got this number , wait one week and track again in http://track-chinapost.com/track_global.php
