Post Problem with Chinese Postal Service

What is the problem with Chinese Postal Service? It seems packages from all over the world are delayed ever since the last Chinese holiday (grave sweeping day), and the days leading up to the holiday.

These delays are costing the Chinese companies, who use the mail system, money . If the Chinese postal system continues to delay like this, people are going to dispute the charges and get their money back, costing Chinese businesses millions

China post may be terrible but tonnes of people will still use it anyway cos its cheap. Same reason u bought made in china stuff. If ur item cost only usd 1-5 does it make any sense to use a premium courier like dhl or fedex to send it and perhaps cost 10x more?

Actually, lots of complaints and frustrations here can be managed with a healthy dose of patience. A lot of people here are endlessly asking about their items, majority of which are only 1-2 weeks after the last update when china mail can actually take up to 3 months to arrive.

And if u dont get ur items u can file a dispute and get ur monies back anyway. So why are ya all so angry? U get what u paid for!

If u want a quick service, be my guest and use dhl or fedex. Otherwise, just sit back, be quiet and wait for your item like everyone else.

All due respect, you have no idea what you're talking about. I've been dealing with dozens of Chinese vendors for the last 8 years, and have never seen a massive backup like this before.

We are talking about "e-packet" in this thread. E-packet mail is an international agreement (for small packages) between nations, starting with the USPS and China Post, and has included many other nations, hence the complaints from those other nations as well, that you are seeing in this thread. I also deal with vendors in Hong Kong where the e-packet shipments are not being delayed.

I have never had an e-packet envelope take more than two weeks, and 90% of the time, only 7 days.

Please don't lecture me on cost of goods, because you have no clue how much money I spend on products. This particular item is a $42 dollar item.

Yes, I'm fully aware of DHL and Fedex. I just had a $350 package show up via DHL yesterday. Total door to door ship time from Shenzhen was 3 days.
