Post Post Being Returned To China From Madrid...

Hi,

I sent some valuables back home while I was travelling and, long story short, they got stuck at Madrid customs and were not collected in time.

As I understand the package will now be returned to China. Does anyone know what the process is now? Will the package itself be returned to the address I gave when I sent it? Or will a letter arrive there instructing me to pick it up? Also, do you know if there will be anything to pay, should my parcel actually make it there?

I am in Asia for another month and, as I understand, the parcel was sent either at the end of last week or today, so it could be possible for me to arrange with the hostel I was staying at to forward me my parcel or maybe even travel back there for a day to pick it up...

Any guidance would be greatly received as this is the cause of some serious concern and frustration.

Thanks

Oliver

Our system shows the parcel has released from Spain customs on April 20 and attempted delivery by Spain Post on April 21. Why don't you try to contact Spain Post and try to pickup the parcel.

If the parcel is returned, it will wait very long time to reach China(very possible half year). Even if it arrives China later and if you don't pickup it in a specif free storerage time(normally 2 weeks), china post will discard the parcel.

Hi,

We've tried to retrieve it from Spanish customs but because of delays and their own mistakes in the information they gave us, it is now in the process of being returned (as I understand). It is very frustrating. So I can't expect the parcel to be returned to the sender address any time soon? I was thinking that it could be a few weeks, like a normal delivery, and that if this were the case it is possible I might still be near China to retrieve it.

Thanks for your help.
