Post Package stuck on Pre-shipment

Hello, my package LT259049667CN has been showing as still being in pre-shipment since January 23. Tracking through USPS says that shipment is being prepared but this has said that for over a week now. Is there any update or explaination that I can be given? This package was supposed to be a gift for someone’s birthday this week but I’m Very concerned it won’t be here in time.

http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=LT228912705CN shows the parcel was shipped From China Post Guangzhou office to US on Jan 23.

It is now some middle location between China Post system and USPS system(possibly airline warehouse in Guangzhou ,China or customs warehouse in JFK airport, US). You can not know exact situation when parcel is in such middle locations.

Such no-information stage might last 7 to 20 days(rush season can take 30 to 40 days) until USPS gets the parcel from customs. Then USPS website will show its new status with US location.

Everything looks normal. Please wait some more days.
