Post No Shipping Record Question

Hey, I would like to put this first.
I have never used China Post of any variety before.
I also do not know if this is the best forum for it.

I ordered a package, and I was given my tracking number
LX245431156CN

It's been 4 days since I got this tracking number in the email saying my package has been shipped.

However, every time i try to track this, the page returns
"No Shipping Record!"

I understand that this is a busy time of year for every post service I would just like a bit more information into how the tracking works.

So my main questions are
Is this normal for packages? (4 days seems long to still have no records)
Is it because it's a busy time of year?
Is there any estimated times for how long the records will take to update?

Any additional information about my package would be appreciated.

1. Your tracking number is a valid tracking number. Sometimes it may take China Post up to 10 days to register a parcel into the system.

2. Since you got the tracking number only 4 days ago you need to wait till the 10 days pass. And yes this time of year is very busy for parcel in China. Please don't forget Sunday and Monday is a National Holiday in China.

3. If by 09 Jan you still can not track your parcel then you should contact your seller and ask why he did not mail the parcel. Or worst case scenario you could open a dispute to get your money back.

1) Ah ok, up to 10 days, that's different to the vague "a few days" I got off the seller! Didn't realise it took that long, but no matter, at least I know my number is valid.

2) I will wait then, and I did forget a lot of bank holidays happen over this period. So that was ignorance and bad memory on my part.

3) Thanks for your help, it's definitely put my mind at rest. I'll just keep watching my tracking number, and hope that things set in motion before then.
