Hello China Post Forum,

My Package CY535183055DE is in China Postoffice at the moment.

Status: Waiting for Customs Declaration by Addressee

My Postpackage have the Address of the company(in China) where it should be repaired. In this Package is a electric PC Machinepart from my Machine in Germany. I need this Machinepart very quickly repaired.

The China Company give me Address of Company and Contact Person with his Phonenumber. The Package is stock by Chinese Customs and China Post Office. I wait one month till yet.

Now i get the message from the chinese company, that the contact person and phonenumber that i write on the package are leaving the company two weeks before.

The Company said to me, that i have to change the Contactperson and the phonenumber.

I try to change that in Germany with the Postoffice, but they said to me, that the Package are now in China and DHLGermany can not change that.

Why does the Package not going to the Address that i write on the Package??? If it cost Taxes...they will pay it for me. Or is there any way to change the Contactperson and number.

Please help me. I need to get this parcel delivered...i can not work at the moment.

If you need Passport or invoice of the Packagesending...I will send you.

DHL is correct, you can not change the receiver now. You must ask the receiver to make customs clearance and pickup the parcel from china post. He is responsible for the parcel content without no drugs and other illegal item inside.

In china , receiver has high responsibility to oversea parcel, it is not easy to change the receiver's name.

The company says that they can not connect the old receiver to clear that. And they say to me that i can change the receiver. I called DHL Deutsche Post. They said that at this moment the package arrive in china customs...they can nothing change on the Package. Automatik the china Post is delieverer of the Package. Because i dont send it with DHL express. I send with DHL Premium.

Can you please give me a advice what i should do now? Please...i need help now.

As far as I know it is very hard or impossible to change the recipients name while a parcel is in transit with any postal company, you will most likely have to get the person it is addressed to to clear it and hope they pass it on to the repair company or wait and hope it is sent back to you so you can change the addressee. IF it is possible to change the recipients name you would have to call China post directly to find out and probably spend quite a lot of time on the phone verifying information and such. There is a post in these forums with China posts Mandarin and English phone numbers but English is not always available.
