Post How long does chinese customs hold a package for?

Long story short, I have a package from GBR-CHN and has been awaiting duties/taxes in customs for a while now and I'm waiting for it to be sent back to me. It has been a little over 2 months since the tracking last mentioned paying duties in chinese customs. I would have expected the package to be sent back to the return address by now but it seems that thats not the case. Hopefully someone on this forum has some insight to give me, as I have been to the moon and back looking for an answer to my question about how long they usually hold packages that are waiting for taxes to be paid, before sending them back, thanks.
