Both your questions have the same answer. "Departure Export Customs", "Sent to airline", basically any status suggesting departure, followed by a long period of time with no updates, means the item is in the process of leaving China.

The next update comes when the parcel arrives in the destination country, and the receiving postal service scans it.

Between these two status updates, the parcel is in transit between China and the destination country. It could be in any of several different physical locations:

• being held in the airline or shipping company's warehouse, waiting for shipping space
• actually in transit on an aircraft, ship, or train
• in transit through an intermediate country
• arrived at the destination country, but not scanned yet (waiting to be unloaded, or waiting for Customs).

It's impossible to know which of these locations the parcel is in at any given time. What we can do, though, is look at how long previous parcels have taken to transit between countries, and estimate how long the transit time will be -- the time until the item arrives in the destination country and is scanned there.

This is a slow and cheap service for low value item. China Post will not scan and update its status after it left first post office. so you can not see new status and know where it is now. china post ordinary parcel might take 4 to 12 weeks to reach your country.
