Hello.
Please give me links to the China Post rules, which state what is allowed and what is forbidden to send to China.

Wrote a letter to China Post - [email protected] but I never got a response from them.
It's been over a week.

China is not a country ruled by law. There isn't such a specific regulation to tell you which is allowed which is forbidden to send to china.

However, based on our experience, you should not ship any item which is very very expensive (might have huge duty which many receiver refuse to pay), dangerous item which has gas, liquid or poison inside , any politics or religion related printings, any item which might have copyright problem.

If you follow above rule, most of the item can pass China customs without problem. But remember, you must have Chinese address printed in the parcel. English address often causes delivery problem. China is not an English friendly country, most people including Post delivery worker can not read English address.

What are the rules then guided by China Post when receiving parcels ?
How does China Post determine what is allowed and what is prohibited for import to China?

Tried to find these rules on the official website - http://english.chinapost.com.cn but I couldn't find them.

there is no such rule. All by the customs officer's personal judgement.

There can be no such thing that the world's largest postal company has no rules for the import and dispatch of goods!
Rules all the same have to be, the checking controller has to be guided though by any rule or the law when processing parcels.
