Yaay! Not the best result but I'm glad they weren't able to succeed with their scam.

The trick where a scammer gives you an already-used tracking number seems to be cropping up more lately. We've had a couple of folks lately who've gotten tracking numbers that were used to send an item to a different country three months ago.

Yes, but if the tracking has a different destination country or if its departure is dated before the order it leads to a dispute very soon.
In any case i want to say for the new users that Aliexpress is very safe because no money is released to the seller untill the buyer confirm the reception. The problems occour only to buyers not following Aliexpress instructions and mainly for confirming the reception before the goods arrive or not opening the dispute for not received goods within the protection time but instead contacting the seller and waiting for another promised shipment
