The last information on this package was

Tracking number: LX220372562CN

And that's it.

Any ideas?

1. On the China Post EMS site this is the translation:
2016-11-27 00: 00: 00.0 15:46:42 China Post Express Logistics Co., Ltd. Beijing Mail Processing Center (Air departure processing center, sent to NZAKLA

NZAKLA = AUCKLAND NZ POST

2. The parcel need to schedule for a flight for departure in Beijing to Auckland. So we can say that the parcel is On Route/In transit to your country.

3. Because there is no flight number nobody knows where the parcel is right now. Even if there is no scan on the parcel it does not mean that the parcel is not traveling to your country.

4. Your parcel should have some priority because it's an E Packet. But right now it's the most busiest time of the year for every Post office in the World, so mail is very slow.

5. In normal condition E packet can take from a bit over a week to 3 weeks to arrive at destination, this is excluding the time the parcel is spending at the Customs Office.

6. When your parcel arrive in your country it will be up to NZ Post to scan the parcel on arrival or when they have time to do it.

7. I know this was not the answer you where looking for, but that is the best I can do right now. E Packet everywhere are late getting deliver.

Hope this help.
