These parcels were sent from Sanya last month and still did not leave China. According
to the tracking system:

CP 297021046 CN sent from Sanya on 17/10.2014, delivered to Guanjou transit zone on 20/10/2014

CP 297021077 CN sent from Sanya on 22/10/2014, delivered to Guanjou transit zone on 25/10/2014

CP 297021103 CN sent from Sanya on 23,10,2014, delivered to Guanjou transit zone on 27/10/2014

As you can see they have been sitting at Guanjou for a month without any explanation.

What do we do from here?

CP 297021046 CN is surface parcel for heavy item and very slow. wait 2 to 4 months is very common.

We have been told by China Post that if not delivered within 3 months, the parcels will be returned to the sender or destroyed. Is this correct?

that is for parcel arrived to China. If parcel can not be delivered to China receiver, and none contact China Post to pickup the parcel for 2 months, the parcel might be returned to the original country.
