Post Was my package lost/discarded?

The date of collection for my package was on April 16th, and it still has not left China. The part that makes me believe it may have been discarded was the latest updates(the latest being a month ago).

Here are the details as per suivichineposter:

2015-04-16 15:43:14.0 Huizhou city Post Office Parcel AD Dept. received
2015-04-16 16:54:51.0 Huizhou city Post Office Parcel AD Dept. customs scan
2015-04-16 22:25:46.0 left Huizhou city Post Office Parcel AD Dept. ,next station Huizhou
2015-04-17 14:48:58.0 Guangzhou Transit Station security scan
2015-04-17 15:48:29.0 Guangzhou Transit Station customs scan
2015-04-20 15:55:17.0 Guangzhou Transit Station customs scan
2015-04-24 15:56:48.0 Guangzhou Transit Station customs scan
2015-04-25 16:30:44.0 Guangzhou Transit Station customs scan
2015-04-27 17:25:48.0 Guangzhou Transit Station customs scan

That seems like quite a bit of security scans. So it makes me believe it was discarded. I am not sure why though. The package consisted of an Arduino Uno R3 Microcontroller(it was a clone, but the board is open source) and a small stepper motor.

When checking the package on the China Post website, and using google translate - it replaces the customs scans with "exchange bureau has issued letters".

I am hoping you guys can help me figure out what is going on with the package. The tracking number is:

RI018684169CN

Thank you.

if the status keep repeatedly in customs scan, normally this means the parcel has problem to pass custom security check. if your buyer protection is expiring, you should open dispute.

Just as I thought. Thank you for your help.

Is there a way I can contact the office that has it? Or would that be a waste of time? It seems like they may have just given up and discarded the package, and it may be a lost cause.

It seems like I still have 56 days left of purchase protection. So maybe I should ask the seller if they will resend the items, though a little differently this time. If not then I will open up dispute.

Thank you again.

contact post office is just waste of time. contact seller might be a better way. If seller does not give you solution, open dispute and claim refund. Normally the risk of lost is on seller's burden before the goods received by buyer.

Jeethakaur, I mean this with respect, but you should try to create your own thread if you have a separate issue with China Post. You may receive a better response, and can help others with the same issue find the information they may be looking for.

With that said, since the package is within the US, it is no longer China Post's responsibility. The information you need should be on the slip they left. It will notify you how many more attempts will be made, or if you must pick it up somewhere. You can reschedule a delivery with USPS online. All the information regarding re-delivery can be found: http://faq.usps.com/?searchString=redelivery
