Post Tracking Number isnt working

I bought an item on Mar 1st from ebay, but until Mar 6th the seller gave the tracking number after I asked them, and they told me it was shipped. However, even though I tried to track on a few tracking websites (USPS and EMS china included), it still showed nothing. It has been 5 days. From what my experience, it was supposed to update the tracking info within 48 hours. I has tried to contact the seller 2 or 3 times but no respose. Is is a valid number? Does the seller really ship? Or is it stuck on customs? Please help me. Thank you.

your seller did not ship the goods yet. Tell him if you can not track the parcel by next week, you will file complaint to ebay, normally he will ship the goods.
