Hello, I sent a letter to a friend in China from the US, and it has been over two weeks but the last update USPS has for the back was that it arrived at the USPS facility in chicago and that it is in transit (this was on November 4th). Does this mean the letter is still in the US? or is it still being delivered but I can't track it in China? PLease help! I really wanted the letter to get there in less than two weeks and its late and I'm worried its gotten lost by the postal system.

Tracking number is LN804414835US

LN804414835US is USPS 1st class mail which can not be tracked in China. You can not know delivery detail, not even know if it has arrived China or not. It is same as you put a stamp in a letter and put it into mailbox. You can not track it is final delivery status.
