Post Packages not arrived

Hello,

I sent four packages from Shanghai at the end of April and none of them have arrived at their destination yet, even though the quoted shipping time was 10-12 days.

When I have entered tracking info into the site it isn't able to give me any information except that it departed customs exports in Shanghai.

There was one to the USA - CP283811013CN

One to Canada - CP259299642CN

And two to Australia:
Sydney - CP259299660CN
Melbourne - CP259299639CN

I sent these myself, in person, from the post office in Shanghai.

Is there any chance that they have all been lost, or all held somewhere for some reason?

The packages contained small music booklets.

Any help is much appreciated.

parcel no."CP*******CN" normally is surface parcel for heavy item. This kind of parcel travels through sea and very very slow. It might take half year to reach destination. You should use airmail (tracking number like 'R******CN')

I was told this was airmail to the destination country, then surface to the destination, and that it would only take ten or twelve days. That is very strange. Is there any way to track where this is at?

Wow! That is great information. I had no idea that the beginning letters designate the method of travel used in China Post. That is definitely good to know, thank you. Are there any others(beginning letters that help describe the method of shipping)?

What are the stand formats of China Post tracking number? How to distinguish them?
