Hello,

My girlfriend sent me a package in February that was supposed to arrive on February 17th or 18th, but I never received it. I am living in a hotel that was closed during the winter holiday (February 4th - March 5th), although I was inside or nearby most days, there was no way for me to hear someone knock on the door when I am on the second floor of the building. China Post attempted to deliver my package but because the hotel was closed I don't believe the delivery man left it outside or anywhere nearby. Also, my girlfriend did not pay for a tracking number (in retrospect, a bad idea on her part), so I have no way of tracking it other than the customs number: LC366586434US

Is there anyway to help me get it delivered? Normally, I would expect a phone call or a letter mailed to me telling me where I can pick up the package, but China Post hasn't sent me anything or contacted me, so I am worried. It's been over 2 months now and I'm not sure what to do.

normally china post will not to deliver goods to hotel room. Your parcel should be discarded or returned. To make things worse, LC366586434US is USPS first class parcel and China Post will not scan this kind of parcel. This means you can not know the actual situation of the parcel-either delivered, lost, discarded or returned.

So, there's no way for me to actually call and have them find out where it is? I planned to call tomorrow (Monday) since they probably are not open today. Could you tell me, what options do I have right now? I appreciate your response! :)

Edit: Also, it's not sent to my hotel room. I live on a school's land, but the school also owns the hotel. Usually, the China Post deliver to the hotel, but the hotel was closed. They didn't leave it with the guards at the front gate either (the guards also take packages and give them to the teachers here when they come to work).

If you can speak Chinese, call china post EMS hotline 11183 (USPS first class parcel normally is delivered by China EMS department) and see if they can help you to find the parcel. Although they might not give you more information than this forum, it deserves a try.
