Hi,
I mailed a package via Canada post regular mail to Guangzhou, China 4 weeks ago. There was not tracking available for regular mail. How long will it take to reach? Will it even make it?

I don't have a tracking number as I sent via regular mail.

shipping time from china to canada normally will take 30 to 90 days. I believe the canada to china should be the same. However, without tracking number, you can not know the arrival and delivery status in china. If this is a return for refund, normally you should use parcel with tracking number.

I forgot to leave a contact number on the parcel. If there is no one home to receive the package, will china post leave a tag at the door?

Phone number is not very important.
In China, parcel will not delivered to home door. China Post only send the parcel to the building's mailroom and then supervisor of the building will give the parcel to receiver's room. So it is very important to write Chinese address in the parcel otherwise supervisor who can not understand English may not dispatch the parcel to receiver's room.
