Post Delay in receiving package from Aliexpress

I ordered an item (small package) from China on 19th September and the last tracking was on 8th October 2010 in Guangzhou, destination Ireland. It is now 45 days since i ordered and to date no sign of package. Is this delay normal and could it take longer. Thank you.

the parcel should have arrived Ireland. contact ireland post, if they cannot find the parcel, it should be lost. open dispute and claim refund.
