2015-12-12 13:28:47.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export security scan
2015-12-12 14:25:28.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export customs cleared
2015-12-13 11:14:00.0 arrive Guangzhou Airport
2015-12-13 13:42:21.0 leaving Guangzhou Airport going to next airport/seaport
2015-12-15 11:17:48.0 Guangzhou Transit Station import customs scan ,remark (rejected )
2015-12-16 10:14:33.0 Guangzhou Transit Station import customs cleared (domestic transit )

Does this mean my item is being sent back to the seller or its on its way to the destination (Malaysia)?

your parcel was rejected(returned) in guangzhou customs. If it has something not allowed by safety regulation, it might be discarded without notice.

Anyway, the best solution for you is to open dispute to ebay/aliexpress for lost parcel refund.
