Dear All,

we have shipped a package with tracking no. CY745362012DE last week.
I have seen in your tracking details that the customs were cleared on August 13th and a delivery failed on August 14th with remark /09.
What does this mean?

Nobody has already contacted our customer. Our customer called china post yesterday and someone told him that he has to pay VAT and custom fees? We have sent him some samples and nothing else.

We need an information asap and our customer needs the shipment asap.

your receiver should go to pay VAT tax and pickup the parcel no matter it is sample of not, China government will appraise the value of the goods and give you VAT amount.

What do you mean with the receiver should pay VAT tax and pick up the parcel?
Where do he has to pay the tax?

Call china post, they will tell him where to pay VAT and collect the parcel.

Thank you. But i see it right, that you tried to deliver the package on Monday August 14th without paying VAT in advance?

normally VAT should be paid on delivery. your receiver might not be available when postman attempted delivery . As the VAT was not collected on delivery, parcel was returned back to post office. You should ask receiver call china post shanghai office, pay VAT and collect the parcel asap. The parcel will be hold in Shanghai for very limited free storage time, then it will be returned to Germany.
