Post Tracking Number Invalid? "Item Not Found"

I was given this number by the vendor yesterday RG318068355CN

When I input into China Post Tracking, it tells me that:-

"Parcel#RG318068355CN is invalid, China Post has not received any parcel associated with !"

Is this normal or does it mean I have been scammed?

mine takes 1 week before it became trackable (order shipped on jan 30)..
another order shipped feb 3 still not found, I think it delayed in china because many parcel shipped, and it waiting to be scanned by china post

oh ... that is such a long delay ... thanks for sharing

hopefully it is due to the festive season ...
and not because the seller sending a tracking number that is fake ...

i wrote to the seller (modernqipao.com) to ask whether the item was indeed shipped
no reply from the seller
