Item is now 'stuck' in Kunming Import Security Scan.
Went to the local China Post Office for advice; they were absolutely useless. They said they couldn't help in any way or give any information other than what was already available on the internet. When I asked why they couldn't contact the Kunming branch of their own company they said 'they didn't know why'...
Have called 11183 and they were hopeless too. They confirmed the package details and said that the item had been dispatched from Kunming already. They promised that someone would call back within 24 hours to discuss the matter, but nobody called.
Having browsed this site, people are saying 'wait for 30-60 days'?!? Surely that is a joke, right? We shouldn't have to wait that long on a NATIONAL delivery service. Either they can do their jobs...or they can't.
I refuse to believe that there are so many packages going through customs at Kunming that it takes 30-60 days to scan a parcel with a jacket inside then send it. It's just typical Sino-ineptitude. This has got to be the worst postal service I have ever had the displeasure to use and the nonchalant attitude/unhelpfulness of the employees I've encountered so far is worse.
Nobody can even tell me (approximately) where the package is. Tracking system says Kunming. 11183 says it has left Kunming and the China Post employees said....nothing, and that they can't help in any way whatsoever.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
