I need to understand where my package is. South African Post Office has no info on their system, so the package is still in China since 17 December 2017.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel was shipped on Dec 12. shipping time to South Africa might take 3 months, you need a lot of patient.
