it has now been about 4 months and the tracking system says "sent to airline" since 19/10/2013. any idea where my parcel is?

If the parcel status stuck in "sent to airline" over 2 months, normally it means the parcel has been lost.

It is not "your parcel". China Post only have contract with shipper and will compensate shipper's claim as per shipping contract. So you have to contact shipper ask refund from them.

iv payed for it, therefor it is my parcel and my money that is being lost here!
you should be compensating me not the sender!
