Please help follow up on tracking number 89811945286 item has not moved from the 10/10/2017, this is a christmas present and i really want to ensure it does not get lost, our postal services in south africa cannot take this number is there a number we can track from this side?

this kind of 11 digit number is china post ordinary parcel. This is a slow and cheap service for low value item. China Post will not scan and update its status after it left first post office. so you can not see new status and know where it is now. china post ordinary parcel might take 4 to 12 weeks to reach your country.

How ill i know if it has arrived in the country? it has been 7 weeks now. South African post office cannot work on this tracking number? is there a number that the South African post office can use?

you can not know such china post ordinary parcel has arrived your country or not. this is a cheap service. None will scan and update its status after it left original post office.
