Post Package Cleared Customs in Shanghai Tracking Shows Back in USA

USPS Tracking Number - CV044022816US

I mailed this package to my son in Wuhan with things he needs for school at Central China Normal University. I am in Chicago, IL USA.

Tracking says the package cleared customs in Shanghai, China. I thought it was going to Wuhan, China next. But the USPS tracking says that the package is back in Chicago USA.

I do not understand why the package is in Chicago, IL USA when it is supposed to be in Wuhan, China.

Please help.

1. The tracking number you provided is not a valid tracking number!

2. Maybe you made a mistake in the tracking number, impossible to track.

Yes, I did make a mistake in the tracking number. Here is the correct number.

CV044022716US

My son has a Chinese name is Hanji 汉吉 and he is a student at Central China Normal University. He said he got a call from Shanghai while he was in class and he tried to call back but the call did not go through.

1. I have track your parcel on different sites and it seems very confusion. USPS is saying the parcel is coming back but China Post is saying internal transit.

2. So your son has to call as soon as possible here:
Origin Country - China Post: 86 20 11185
Or go to any China Post Office to inquire about the parcel number CV044022716US

3. On your side you have to do the same thing, either call USPS to find out what is going on or go to a USPS Office.
