Hi, The package I sent to Shanghai is now being held by customs. I was just told by the USPS that there would most likely be Taxes to pay on it. I did not know this when I sent the package and had already spent $80 to ship the package. Can you find out if it will be released without taxes or how much the taxes will be, because this was a gift and I don't want the person receiving the package to have to pay for it.

shipper can not pay tax. Only receiver can pay tax and collect the parcel. You need ask receiver call China Post hotline 11185 and try to find some way to pay duty and get the parcel. The parcel now is in Shanghai customs.
