Hi. On Feb. 16, 2017, I sent a package to my girlfriend in China. I checked both the china post tracking and the usps tracking and it says that it cleared customs on Feb. 23, 2017. I wanted the package to get there for our anniversary as it included gifts for her. I also sent another gift on Feb. 23, 2017 and that package has already been delivered.
Today, my girlfriend called China Post to inquire about the first package I sent and they said that she needed to bring the receipts of the items that are contained inside the package. I have sent her all the receipt that I can in fear of the worst. If we have to pay tax duties, that okay by us but she says that she was told by the operator that they can't even release it even if she paid for the duties.
I did some search on your website and it appears that this tactic is used often by China Post to get phone callers off the line. If this is in fact the case, should I have her go to a local post office and kindly inquire if they can help locate the package?
My girlfriend is Taiwanese and I know sometimes there are still some hostility. Would bringing a local friend help with the situation?
This is my tracking number : CX359739449US.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
