I have ordered a headset from aliexpress couple of weeks ago. it has arrived in Karachi, Pakistan and for the first time I am seeing all tracking information for any of my item. It says "Held by customs" and I'm curious if I have to pay any taxes or duties for this headset or is it normal? thank you

1. The Pakistan Post does not show that:
Routing Track
Date Location Service Area Remarks
10/08/2016 14:03 GUANGZHOU insert item into bag in origin country
19/08/2016 07:09 KARACHI INTERNATIONAL MAIL OFFICE (IMO Letter) receive item at office of exchange in destination country
20/08/2016 07:06 IMO Parcel Karachi receive item at office of exchange in destination country
20/08/2016 10:18 IMO Parcel Karachi send item to customs in destination country
23/08/2016 09:18 IMO Parcel Karachi update item in destination country
23/08/2016 09:18 IMO Parcel Karachi Insert item into domestic bag

2. If you are talking about:
20/08/2016 10:18 IMO Parcel Karachi send item to customs in destination country

It was held for inspection possibly by Customs Officer.

Hope this help.

I receive my headset today and I had to pay Rs.1240/- charges. Is it because of the parcel size or weight or what? it cost $55. i bought more expensive items from aliexpress in the past but i never had to pay any duties.

1. You should talk to the Pakistan Customs Office to have the explanation about your parcel. What you are entitle to import ($) to Pakistan by mail.

2. China Post or any seller does not have control over the Customs Office in any country.

Hope this help.
