Post Clearance Fees for Sending to the United Kingdom

Hello there, I would like to buy a bag from a website/seller based in China, the seller states that the item has free shipping and it will be sent via China Post Air Mail. Would anybody know if the item will incur customs clearance fees from China Post? The bag costs £10, I enquired to UK customs and they said there would not be any customs or VAT charges for the item from them. Is there an official email address I could enquire also

any thoughts would be much appreciated

As far as we know from many users in this forum, none complain about import tax in UK. It seems that low value item shipped by China Post will have no tax. However, you'd better contact UK customs to verify the fact.

Hi thanks - that's what I was asking as I had contacted UK Customs, they had said there may be clearance fees payable to the carrier China Post

Air carriers added additional fees from their service and this what makes the customer unsatisfied. Though there are some changes in fuel charge, airfare charge do not change instead they continued to rise. Get a personal finance to help pay for your trip.
