Post Beijing to Canada

Hello! The last information i received on my package was on April 9 that it had left Beijing. Here is my tracking number: RO626388972CN
I have been reading other forums that say that tracking freezes once it has left China and won't be updated until it arrives in the destination country. Does this mean my package is going from Beijing to Canada right now? Does it normally go from Beijing directly to Canada or does it have to make stops along the way?
I know it's going to take around 30 days to get to Canada, I just want to know if it has left China yet?

Yes tracking will freeze and you won't be able to track it at Canada Post.
Yes parcel has left China To Canada.
Your parcel should arrive in Vancouver and there seems to be a hold up at Canadian Customs in Vancouver.
Don't expect your parcel before a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks.

Hope the above information will be helpful.

Okay, so I will never have any more updates on my tracker? And I have no way of knowing when it is in my town ready for pick up?

From reading other blogs on Internet this is what I found:
His the following statement accurate or not, I strongly suspect it is right.

1. When mail arrive in Canada, it is inbound, meaning it has to go through Canadian Customs for clearance.
2. Because Canada Post does not track anymore registered mail from China Post, then all the parcel are put in a big (really big) basket and given to Canadian Customs for clearance.
3. When the parcel are release from Canadian Customs to Canada post because it is a registered mail, Canada Post has to enter it into the system.
4. If you track your number on Canada Post after your parcel is out of Canadian Custom, this is what you will get:

Tracking Number: RFXXXXXXXXXCN
There is no information available for this international item. Tracking by Canada Post is not a feature for this product.
Expected Delivery : 1-12 business days

Hope this help.

Thanks that was very helpful!! So I should track my parcel in a few weeks on Canada Post and see if I can see the "Expected Delivery : 1-12 business days"? Because when I do it right now it says my parcel is not found but that's because it's still in customs?

Canada Post does not scan parcel from China. So you can not know exact location and status after it left China, either in ChinaPost website or Canada Post website.

Normally parcel will arrive Canada in 4 to 8 weeks. Just be patient and wait, you will get it sooner or later.
