Post Stuck package since 2 weeks ago

Hi, I have ordered a mechanical keyboard on AliExpress. The seller gave me this tracking number: RJ857360453CN.

It is supposed to be shipped to Thailand which is really close to China, but, according to the tracking status, it might be lost or something I couldn't imagine of.

It said that the package has left Guangzhou Airport like 2 weeks ago and it still haven't found its way to Thailand. The destination is Thailand which is really close to China, so I suspect that it shouldn't have taken this much time and I should've seen another update on the tracking status... :\

Here is an excerpt of the tracking status:
2016-12-03 10:27:17.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export security scan
2016-12-03 12:07:18.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export customs cleared
2016-12-04 10:29:00.0 arrive Guangzhou Airport
2016-12-04 13:21:11.0 leaving Guangzhou Airport going to next airport/seaport

Do you think that the package might possibly got lost? Should I open a dispute to this seller?

2. Your parcel was mail on the 14 Nov then it spent 18 days to get from Yiwu city to Exchange Bureau in Guangzhou arriving on 03 Dec.

3. Right now (04 Dec) your parcel is On Route/In Transit to your country Thailand. Now it up to Thailand Post to scan your parcel on arrival or when they have time to do it.

4. This time of year is the busiest time for every Post Office in the World, so mail is very slow.

4. Just continue to track your parcel on the Thailand Post site for any new movement.

Hope this help.

Thank you for your response.

According to your speculation, it sounds as if this is normal.

When do you think I should open a dispute to the seller? I had the seller extended the protection period 2 times already. :(

1. This is what I found for Thailand, that is dated 15 Dec:

The designated operator of Thailand, Thailand Post, asks us to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that heavy rain and flooding in the southern part of the country are having an impact on mail operations and transportation, resulting in delays in the delivery of letter post, parcels and EMS items throughout the provinces and regions affected.

The following postcode areas are affected to a greater or lesser extent by floods:

77xxx, 80xxx, 84xxx, 85xxx, 86xxx, 90xxx, 92xxx, 93xxx, 94xxx and 96xxx.

Thailand Post thanks all member countries for their understanding and will update the designated operators through EmIS as soon as the situation returns to normal.

2. I don't know if you are affected by that.

Hope this help.

I think I might not be affected by the flooding situation in Thailand as I live in Bangkok.

Thank you for your information!

Could you please kindly estimate how long I should wait for the status update before opening a dispute to the seller and ask for a full refund? Should it be like 2 more weeks?

1. Give your parcel to the 04 Jan to see if Thailand Post site will scan your parcel if not then go ahead with your dispute.

Hope this help.
