Hello,

I have ordered on aliexpress very, very often and never had a problem. Now I have two orders from one seller which both tracking numbers say "electronically received" since Nov 22nd and no further update. I contacted the seller and he sent me some chinese screenshot (which I cannot read) and circled one English word on there "Germany" saying it's there, I need to wait and I should close dispute on aliexpress. Aliexpress said don't close dispute until received (they said to open it in the first place) and it's a bad sign that seller asked me to do this outside of the dispute. Here I read that if the status of tracking never updates with a scan, it's also a bad sign. But I have this chinese screenshot that I would very much like to know what it says. Can someone help me translate? I don't want to post publically because it may have my address and such and since I can't read, I don't know what to black out.

Tracking won't show your address, at most it will eventually say the city you live in if they sent it to the right location.

yes, but this screenshot is not tracking from chinese post or 17track. Someone helped me and said what they sent me was just a copy from order. there is no tracking in that screenshot.

I believe I have been scammed.

I've had this happen before, and as it turned out, it was a screenshot from Yanwen Express. Some sellers use Yanwen to get orders to a hub for China Post. Does it look similar to this?

No, it doesn't look like anything tracking at all which is why I was so suspicious. It shows the contents of my order with quantity, aliexpress item numbers and doesn't even have the tracking number anywhere that was provided to me. It has since been confirmed to me that what I was sent was not any tracking at all but a screenshot of my order from the seller view of the website. Which is why I believe I have been scammed.

I think I can post screenshot here now with some black marks from me.

That is quite a bit suspicious. Showing you the order doesn't verify the tracking at all. It seems like they didn't have an evidence and were just hoping that whoever was looking at it would assume that it did verify their claims. All the tracking shows is that they received electronic notification, and by now they should have received the package at least. I'd file a dispute, at least that gets the ball rolling. You don't have to cancel the dispute till either you receive what you ordered or your refund.

I already filed a dispute. Which is why the seller sent me that screenshot privately and asked me to close the dispute. It is all very fishy.

I am not so much concerned about getting my money back because I know aliexpress will handle it and really, it's just 35 bucks in total, but I ordered this with plenty of time for shipping for a dancing competition end of January. If I don't have the wings by then, I cannot take my 3 and 4 year olds to the dancing competition because they won't have a complete costume. And of course 3 year olds don't understand it if you tell them the seller has scammed you, they just see they have trained hard all year and now can't go because they have no costume. And of course parents don't understand that the costumes you can buy here are way too large for their children to dance in because they are for teenagers and adults so I had to buy elsewhere.

Yea, that's the problem with a lot of sellers on AE. Even ones with high rep can pull some scammy things from time to time, and all the other ones are pretty much a if you're lucky, you'll receive what you ordered. There's that and they can just shut down one store if they get enough bad rep, and then open another right up. The prices are decent, but the problems will keep it from becoming the kind of site it's capable of.

I have bought replacements now with another seller on AE after chatting with several and looking closely into their store history. So I will have at least one set of wings. If the first seller wasn't a scammer, I'll have two sets which isn't so bad either - I'll just give them to the local kindergarten as toys.
