Hi,
For the tracking number LA961328412CN (to UK), the latest event is from 13 Octomber: "Shenzhen, delivered to air transport".
I contacted the seller and they told me that is out of their control.
Is the package lost?

http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=LA961328412CN shows the parcel was shipped From China Post Shenzhen office to UK on Oct 13. It is seriously delayed.

It is now some middle location between China Post system and Royal Mail system(possibly airline warehouse in Shenzhen ,China or customs warehouse in UK). You can not know exact situation when parcel is in such middle locations.

Such no-information stage normally will last 7 to 20 days (Since Hong Kong airport chaos, your parcel might need wait extra 10 to 20 days ) until Royal Mail gets the parcel from customs. Then Royal Mail website will show its new status with UK location.

If your buyer protection is expiring, open dispute for refund. Otherwise keep waiting.

One interesting thing is that another later parcel I ordered from the same store (with tracking number LA962983459CN ) went thru the same route and arrived.

The buyer protection is not expiring yet. Could you please suggest me a maximum time for wait until I can consider the package as being lost?

I suggest you wait 2 more weeks(if buyer protection has not expired then). Many parcels shipped from Guangzhou/Shenzhen area during earlier Oct are seriously delayed.
