Post Australia to Mongolia parcel delayed over 2 months

Hi
I posted a parcel from Australia to Mongolia on 4 Sep 2018 and it was shipped via China.
It has been over two months in China, and China post has stopped updating its status. Now it says pending - has not been scanned yet? What is happening? It cleared customs in Beijing on 20 Sep 2018. Here is the tracking number CF122175695AU.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel CF122175695AU export customs cleared on Sep 20. This means the parcel has left china long time ago. Normally parcel should arrive Mongolia in 10 days after leaving China.

I suggest you file an investigation with Australia Post. If Australia Post can not find the parcel, you need claim lost parcel compensation from Australia Post or insurance company

Australia Post has started an investigation a month ago.
They called me yesterday to let me know that the parcel never left China. They waited for China Post to reply, and China Post ignored them for a month.
It was meant to just transit via China, however, it probably got stolen in China, since it never left China, and now China Post will report it as lost. They also said that China Post had told them that the parcel would be shipped from Beijing via surface/land, rather than via air. My Chinese friend informed me that valuable parcels never get delivered. This is not the first time it happened. I wish I had known this before I sent it. I'm terribly disappointed with China Post Services!
