According to the U.S. Postal Service, the only way to investigate where my package is is for China Post to start an inquiry. I cannot start it myself. This must be a problem that comes up frequently. How can I make a request for an inquiry to be started. My tracking number is CP314284305CN. In the U.S. Postal Service system I can see that it has made it out of customs. But the USPS cannot go any further in tracking it unless a request is made by China Post. It has been 8 weeks since the package was sent.

The problem is is that my daughter mailed the package before leaving the country. She is no longer in China. She has receipts for the package and could ask a friend to go to the China Post office to start the inquiry. I hope there is a solution to locating the package. I believe it is in the USPS system and they say that the investigation can be started by someone that we ask to represent us.
