I sent package to china return a product by EMS. It has been handed to customs in china 3 months ago.

I asked seller to contact customs and post office but no response.

Can anyone help? Is it normal for customs to hold package this long? It is a bicycle frame.

The shipping label is in english because I purchased it online. Could this be a problem?

Yes it's a problem, they will only accept Chinese address. In the future, I strongly advise to never return items to China because they get lost very often. Best to work things out with the seller directly or open a dispute. You will often get the full refund if you're unsatisfied with the product and explain the limitations of returning it.

the order was for about $800 and I got 300 back and got to keep a useless broken item. I just took the loss as a learning experience. Will never buy anything from china without paypal ever again.

ps. I hope you didn't buy from dhgate. it took 3 weeks for someone from china to respond after I wrote them every other day thru email and online chat.

you can't take them to court unless you want to travel to china and do it. Even then, the law is not always fair like in western style countries.

aliexpress, dhgate, have rules to favor sellers and the sellers use those rules to their advantage. The dishonest ones don't feel bad because in their mind they followed the rules. This is a common mindset and they don't even realize how they are hurting their reputation and customers. (I lived and worked in china for a couple of years.) Also, their priority is making money not customer satisfaction.

of course not all sellers in china are like this. I just choose not to buy from china anymore because it's no longer worth due to the amount of $ lost and number of frustrating experiences.

I recommend you reverse charges on your credit card before the time runs out. the website will probably ban your account, but in my opinion they would be doing you a favor.
