Post CHINAPOSTVOLUNTEER? Please help?

Hello,

We sent a package to China, and cannot locate it. We sent this package via USPS, Tracking number CJ189607070US.

USPS has not been very helpful, they have dragged this out for a very long time... When the status of the package was not updating they opened up an investigation around a month after we sent the package. We kept calling in every few weeks, month after month to check status of investigation. FINALLY after SEVERAL months they told us our package was lost, and sent us a claims forms to file a claim. We filed a claim. After several months, admitting to us that our package was lost and for us to file a claim, after we file the claim they changed the story!!! They said it was not lost and it was held in customs! and gave us misinformation by attaching a false claim to our package that was unrelated, with a tracking number of a package that was sent to Germany and is being held in Germany Customs and has nothing to do with our package that was sent to China. So now we have to do our own investigating because it seems they are mixing 2 separate unrelated cases together.

If this package was held in Customs, USPS should have been able to notify us about this right away so we could have done something about it. Instead they waited I think 6-8 months to tell us so they could deny the claim. They didn't even say why it was being held!! They should have been able to easily find out of it was being held in China customs from the beginning.

Instead they said it was lost after several months and after a few more months they changed the story and said it was being held in customs when it was too late to do anything about it. They didn't even tell us how we could contact customs! They instead kept giving us numbers to call for someone we could talk to about our case. Most of the times the numbers wouldn't be the correct numbers, and finally when we received a good number nobody ever called back no matter how many messages we left!

They never told us who to contact, such as China Post or China Customs.

Finally we called in as a stranger on something unrelated to get someone to tell us what to do and was told about China Post! Almost a year later!

We do not trust what USPS is saying. So can someone please help tell me what had happened to our package?

We have spent HOURS and HOURS with USPS on this package and got nowhere! I feel they dragged this out on purpose.

So finally I have emailed China Post last week since we first found out about China Post, and I have not received an email back yet.

Here is the China Post tracking info:

I don't see anything about China customs even scanning the package, and I do not know exactly what I am looking at. :c

Can someone tell me if the package ever went through China customs, and if it ever left China customs? Or was it being held in customs? Or did the package just get lost?

Someone please please help! This has been a big nightmare! Thanks so much.

it was an one year old parcel.if your receiver did not get the parcel and you did not get any return. it should be lost. you should contact USPS and claim compensation.

Thank you so much chinapostvolunteer. Unfortunately, they do not care. They still lie and say it's in customs. They are protected by the government, so they can get away with insurance fraud. :(
